Going Green - Eco Friendly Paint
Some of our customers are asking more and more about healthier and greener solutions to typical paints and varnishes, the two largest environmental issues during the painting process are.
Emission of volatile organic compound (VOCs) during application and drying.
There are a number of products on the market which we may recommend for different applications including Ecos organic paint, Ecopaint and Craig & Rose plus many others. Using these products can reduce VOCs by 99%. Let us know your concerns and, together, we'll address them to come up with the best plan of action as you seek to provide the healthiest possible environment for you your family and the environment.
Disposal of leftover materials
While we strive not to purchase more materials than we need for the current project this is not always possible, so to combat this we have taken the following steps.
- Correct cleaning of equipment.
- Paint stored carefully so that it can be reused.
- We also donate leftover paints to Community repaint a nationwide organisation who then distribute the materials to local charities, voluntary and community groups.
- Disposal of thinners and other hazardous materials correctly.
